Product Description

** The plunge, which created an inertia with a 35 pound block forcing the user 3.5 feet under the water with a recovery of 1.2 seconds.  Viewers will notice the head and upper torso pop-up first to prevent water aspiration.  This is a key to cold water survival.
Note: Competing suits layback into the water.  No forced energy into the water.  Sikre is not USCG approved, but exceeds their minimum standards of 69.1 Newtons.  Sikre rates 71 - 75 Newtons

A fabric’s waterproof rating is directly related to its ability to withstand water under pressure in a controlled, laboratory setting. In other words, more resistance to pressurized water equates to a higher waterproof rating. Waterproof ratings are measured in two ways:

Sirke 7.41· pounds per square inch (psi) or 22,000mm/24 hours. Iron Clad areas [knees and seat] rate 22 psi.

Common water-resistant fabrics can withstand between 3 to 5 psi of water pressure, which is fine for a brief, rain shower. A Gore-Tex® shell can withstand about 40 psi of water pressure. This higher rating can become necessary if you’re kneeling on snowpack or carrying a heavy pack in the rain, which puts additional pressure on the fabric.

  3. Anorakk Sikre 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Nov 2017

I live and ice fish in the Bemidji ,Minnesota area and purchased the Anorakk Sikre suit fall 2017. The quality is fantastic and it has zipper pockets everywhere. The coldest so far has been 5 above and I felt warm but not hot. It regulates temperature very good. Very comfortable. I am 5'6", 160 lbs and I bought a medium and it fits perfect. I bought it mail order through L&M Fleet, $250, free shipping, and received it in about 4 days. I can hardly wait until it gets colder and try it out, like -20.

  4. First Time Use 2 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Nov 2017

Let me start by saying I was very excited to receive my suit based upon all the positive reviews. I primarily purchased the suit as an ice fishing out fit but as this weekend I sometimes utilize for cold Canadian fall Muskie fishing. The first thing I noticed was the bottom legs were too narrow to comfortably zipper over my insulated Baffin boots. I needed assistance to pull & tug the zipper closed over the boot. Much too tight. Another improvement I may strongly suggest is regarding the bib portion of the pants. I found the bib came only up to my Very lower chest leaving the portion between my upper chest and lower neck exposed. .. about an 8” unprotected space. Albeit I had the coat over top of the bibs, there was still a very noticeable breeze in that portion of the jacket. On a positive note, I’m 5’6” and ordered the medium size, the suit fitted perfectly with room to bend and stretch. There is a multitude of pockets and little extras that one will truely appreciate. The hood is a bonus with the shapeable lid and completely waterproof. Others mentioned the suit was very nice looking and definitely refective and noticeable. The one other issue I has was the coat zipper. At first I could not seem to zip the jacket up without great effort. Very frustrating until I experimented and found a better technique... but still needed concentration... maybe just some more time will alleviate the annoyance.
I’m sorry for the negative review, I never usually review products but this purchase due to the leg and bib was very disappointing. If it was not for ordering this on line & internationally paying the fees I would return to the store.

  5. MO GO 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Jan 2017

Use in big MO like Sikre for you are right; it is truly a multi-climate and rainsuit in one. The flotation was my first reason to buy but I like how it keeps me warm and dry. Your customer service was fantastic and prompt. Your owner is too funny.

  6. Cold Tested 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Dec 2016

In Minnesota it is cold. Negative 10 and I went ice fishing with my new Sikre suit. It is light weight so you may think its not warm. It is warm. I like buoyance too because you never know about early ice. Good work guys on a great product.

  8. Ready for winter 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Dec 2016

You folks up north worry about ice and snow i worry about cold rain and waves fishing strippers. we troll in the winter months or use bait so we are not moving and get cold. i bought my sikre last march and used it in rain and cold conditions. its a winner in my book. very good quality warmth and design.

  9. Rain Tested 4 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Nov 2016

Gave your suit a work out while fishing Leech in the pouring rain and the waves smashing our boat. Crazy day to experience but I stayed dry and warm. My buddies Striker pieces kept him warm [$499.99], but his ass and shoulders were wet. I bought mine at Marine General for $279 and could not be happier guys. Big thanks!

  10. Thorne Brothers needs to know 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Nov 2016

Team Expedition, I visited Thorne Brothers to buy a floatation suit. In typical fashion, they pushed Clam and Frabill, then Striker. I researched your suit found the durability of the fabric, its pockets and design is far better. Far better. I highly recommend Sikre
